Self portrait - The pioneers by *iliasPatlis describes the beautiful relationship between the artist and his daughter, how he gets inspired and re-taught by his little girl. I recommend reading the description to the deviation, it gives a deeper meaning to this homage and self portrait.

Description
Heres the full version of my self portrait piece done for Wacoms “pioneers of Now" contest over at Behance.net., if that fails Im making it my sketchbook cover
It may look simple, but tying all the elements together and coming up with something to describe me as a pioneer of now was indeed hard.
This piece describes me as the artist being influenced and inspired and re-taught by my daughter. When she paints, she has no expectations, its fun, scribbles all over the place, the bolder the colour the more fun it gets, there is no pattern and no thought, its just fun.
This piece also reflects how my daughter is the destroyer of all that I create, and she loves this the most. The little hand at the top is her hand messing up my painting
Conclusion: I think having a kid in your life as an artist is a real eye opener(so grab the nearest kid and give him/her some crayons and observe), allows you to be extra silly, playful and have a constant reminder that not everything in life needs to be planned out, sometimes we just need to do stuff just for the fun of it, as cliché as it may sound we need to live in the moment.
