LOL, sadly, the not-making-a-profit part is easy! However, just to be clear, the contributing artists (ie "you") can put ad's for your work on your bio page (see below). The site cost's etc. are being "donated" by a consulting friend of ours so if there was a way to make money it would first go to him. However, at this point we don't even want ads. Ads don't technically make a site commercial, but they're so incredibly ugly. DA does a pretty good job of blending them in--then again I don't remember any of the ads I've seen here on DA, which means the ads aren't effective. But I *do* understand the part about not profiting off your work and that's not a problem.
But what exactly do you mean by: "As long as its just showing my art..."?
We have 30 or 40 artists each of whom has permitted or contributed one or more pieces.
Each of their works will have 2 links on the same page as their work.
One link leads to a "bio" about the artist and it thanks them for participating; and the other link is an external link to their personal or profession web sites. However, on their bio page we can put more links or even banners; each artist has his/her own bio page.
On the same page as their work will be a poem or story (most of the writing will be Fookleyur, but we are considering guest writers). I thought for sure that John posted a sample page, but I just checked his DA gallery and it's not there.
